B.R.O.W.N.

Bridging Realms of Wellness Now or B.R.O.W.N. houses the offerings through which I collaborate with individuals, groups, and organizations. In this space, I teach, facilitate workshops, collaborate in community-engaged work, and use my training to promote wellness, healing, and liberation.

Wellness Conversation/Workshop Offerings

This is wellness work with Black women and those who serve Black women. In this space, I aim to help empower folks towards health, healing, and authentic well-being through mind-body-spirit conversations that honor their whole personhood and lived experiences.

Testimonials

“Dr. Millicent’s facilitation style is warm, welcoming, and deeply engaging—especially when navigating sensitive topics. She shares her expert research in a way that feels relatable and easy to understand, and her storytelling brings the content to life. She creates a safe, comfortable environment where participants feel at ease and ready to engage. The audience connected with her immediately, and the question-and-answer session was both meaningful and impactful. The workshop helped me recognize how structural violence disrupts the mind–body connection. As a woman who has experienced generational violence, this offered a new and meaningful perspective on my life experiences. The overall impact exceeded my expectations. The space empowered women with insight and practical tools to heal, release old patterns, and step beyond the limitations and boxes that society has placed on us. Every Black woman should experience this workshop. Dr. Millicent offered a profound and affirming exploration of our history, behaviors, and thought patterns that deeply resonated with everyone in the room. The experience was both validating and eye-opening, and we all left feeling inspired, empowered, and ready to begin a new journey of healing.”

“I appreciated Dr. Millicent’s integration of personal, lived experiences and research, and the thought-provoking questions/discussion prompts that we walked through as a group at the tail end of the presentation. Dr. Millicent’s facilitation style is open and welcoming. She is very knowledgeable on the topics of stress and coping among Black Americans and collective healing. I left feeling inspired to reflect more on my personal experiences of stress and how I can work harder to center joy in my everyday life. I highly recommend that any Black woman/person attend.”
